![]() ![]() If you have followed the steps and the issue persists, please contact the MSI's customer service center for further assistance. After restoring the system to its default factory settings, check if the issue is resolved. Please refer to the guide How to restore the default factory system through F3 Recovery? to perform a system restore. Please refer to How to update BIOS? to update the BIOS to the latest version, and then confirm whether the problem has been solved. If so, try removing the newly installed hardware device and check if the issue is resolved. If you are not using any external devices or the problem persists after removing them, please check if you have recently installed any new hardware devices, such as hard drives or memory modules. If the issue does not occur after the restart, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer of the removed device for further assistance. Please try disconnecting each external device one by one, and then restart your computer. Check external devices and recently installed hardwareĮxternal devices connected to your computer, such as external hard drives, memory cards, optical drives, can sometimes cause automatic shutdowns or restarts. However, if the CPU and GPU temperatures are within the normal range, please continue to refer to the following troubleshooting steps. ![]() In such cases, it is recommended to contact MSI's customer service center for further assistance. If, after following the above troubleshooting steps, the CPU and GPU temperatures still remain abnormal, it could indicate a need to replace the thermal paste or a faulty fan. Maintain airflow through the computer vents: Ensure that the vents of your computer are not blocked by hair or dust, as this can hinder the cooling efficiency. If so, try closing them and see if the temperatures improve. Check resource usage in Task Manager: Open Task Manager and check if any applications are abnormally using CPU, GPU, or other system resources.Note: If adjusting the fan speed does not effectively reduce the CPU and GPU temperatures, please consider the following: You can also choose "Advanced" to customize the individual fan speed levels. Select "Fan Speed" → "Cooler Boost" → Click on "Save". Select "Features" → Choose "User Scenario" → Click on the small gear icon located at the bottom right of the "Extreme Performance" icon. it can monitor current cpu and gpu temp, freq, usage, power usage, memory usage, fps. to monitor while gaming, use msi afterburner. If either of the temperatures exceeds 95℃, it is recommended to enable the "Cooler Boost" function to increase the fan speed and keep the CPU and GPU at appropriate operating temperatures. You can use Cinebench R20 to test your laptops performance underload, though gaming on intense games (Like Warzone) is a better stress test for your laptop. Open MSI Center → "Hardware Monitoring", and check the CPU and GPU temperatures. Check external devices and recently installed hardware. If you have experienced this problem, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps. Hardware issues, software malfunctions, high temperatures, or an unstable operating system can all trigger automatic shutdowns. Image added showing results from "Real Temp".In general, there are many reasons that can cause a computer to shut down automatically. Updated: I searched for another product to read CPU temperatures just for my piece of mind that there was no hardware issue and was happy to see there was no hardware problem. Please let me know if this version works fine for you. Microsoft’s new Dev Home app, announced during the 2023 Build conference, adds new widget options for monitoring key system resources such as CPU, GPU, and RAM performance without the need for. It would be really nice if this were fixed in Speccy but maybe it works fine in most cases and these are just isolated incidents. The same reading problem may be true for Speccy.Īs other people have this same problem with Speccy and CPU + Motherboard temps then it is not likely to be a hardware issue in my PC but more likely as previously surmised it has come about from a Windows update. This seems to indicate a reading problem. To help with more info I installed Speedfan which can read PC temps and it showed my CPU as 128 degC (un-rounded value is 127.5) which I did not believe so starting the PC up new on the next day I checked Speedfan and the CPU temp was still 128 degC. When you are watching overall PC temperatures then the CPU and Motherboard temps are quite important measurements. I will create a bug report to go with this post. I imagine a number of other Speccy Users also have this issue. Just like the other reports in this thread I have the same problem. ![]()
